I am fascinated by Oksana Grigorieva’s voice and this song in particular. It is so easy to dismiss or overlook the depth within something so simple. Is Oksana crying out loud about a man? …or is it her mother… Russia? …or the personification of love that she’s calling out to? At times like this we often want to return home to a safe place where we were in a safer time. If only love would call our name again… but aren’t we lucky if we ever hear love call our name. Listen to the words but also her heart. I hear all the pain of centuries of Russian women, who have suffered for what their men have done… to them and to each other. How few are left! …such a price to pay for fame and fleeting comforts. …how quickly spring turns to winter. I hear the hurt and pain but also the strength and resilience of women everywhere who have had to be strong and to continue on in a world where men like to hurt for their own pleasure, possession, insecurities, and egos. She is every woman’s sister, but women too sometimes resent interlopers who are a threat to their own security and pursuit of love, control, money, and power. Tssssssk!
I believe that Oksana Grigorieva is in the same category of many of our great blues, rhythm and blues, soul, jazz and even some of the great soulful country singers. Although she does not have the deep guttural sounds that we expect, she instead sings and plays like an abandoned girl-child, grown up now but still fending for herself in a world of powerful male bullies, constantly having to prove herself and her self-worth among those who only want her as a prize possession. Christiane Amanpour is one of the first reporters that I remember on CNN who was courageously reporting the news and covering events in extremely dangerous and highly volatile regions of the world. The credit that she is due is exponentially magnified considering that she is a woman reporter and investigator who worked fearlessly in volatile traditional Muslim streets and governments.

It is too difficult to fully comprehend the death, the destruction, the human pain and the significance of events such as the events of the earthquake in Haiti. Often, it is easier to relate to an individual life and death such as that of Anaika St. Louis.

Special Honors to Anderson Cooper although seemingly at times glib, insincere, callous (as with his disrespectful interview with Barack Obama when Barack told him the he watches AC360), he consistently gets out into the field and also provided some of the most tireless coverage of the Haitian earthquake and other world news
Anderson, I applaud your questioning why critical medical supplies, food, and water still had not gotten to desperate people on day one, day two, day three, day four, day five, day six, day seven, etc. …BUT you are not angry enough. You should be hammering these agencies HARDER! Not just talking among ourselves about it. Anderson you did a fantastic job by putting down your camera and actually helping the child who was struck in the head with concrete. You have good instincts and you heart is clearly large.
It is a gross lack of imagination and competence on the agencies part. Even a small child could imagine sending people, troops, in small groups or organizing hundreds or thousands of the people themselves to help transport the goods on foot if necessary and set up their own security. It is a possibly a case of considering these people as less than human and incapable of even the simplest task and organization. It is the same thinking that has exploited them and kept them poor and helpless for hundreds of years. Good intentions are not enough. We are tired of their excuses. People should resign or be fired. The most innovative organization who gave help and supples fast should be listed and honored to set a standard for others. In addition money should already be going to the common Haitian men, women, and capable children to work and to begin rebuilding. Imagine how quickly they could regain their confidence and will to live if they had jobs rebuilding their country already.
Someone in the news needs stop being so conciliatory and grateful and attack the delivery of the aid head on and make some enemies. It is worst than Katrina. Get in their face!! Put them on camera. Smash through their excuses. We owe it to the dead and the living. Next, it will be you and me. It is coming! We need someone to take this on BIG! PLEASE get this fixed for all time. You can do it.

The best new current newscaster I have seen and heard on TV is Fareed Zakaria of CNN. He takes his place in the News Hall of Fame Guardians of Truth and Justice along side Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.
He has demonstrated growing courage as an interviewer and in his refusal to spread falsehoods, incite lunacy, or to accept false or manipulative answers. He is now one of my heroes -- as long as he does not lose his edge or attack other true heroes who are doing their best to make us all better such as President Barack Obama.

Keep up the good work Chris... Exposing the pedophiles and monsters who walk among us... Don’t get tired. …expand your concept worldwide and pass the job on, if the weight gets too heavy. Find ways to coordinate with those who are fighting exploitation and abuse of women, U.S. and international prostitution and human rights. It is very important work that you are doing. The entire world needs to have their eyes open to these monsters that live with us; walk among us; work with us in all professions. …even in churches, synagogue, schools, the governments, the military, and law enforcement. At the root of these problems is found in physiological, psychological, psychiatric, and environmental influence. Exposés and law enforcement cannot solve this problem alone... but it is an essential part of the solution along with exposure of the faces of the social and sexual deviants — which may dissuade a few but not all. It is time for some really big brains to tackle this problem with some futuristic solutions for problems that have not been solved and have been with us for thousands of years. Go beyond making a living by giving us a good show; try to break some barriers and make history and find ways to break the cycles.

The would-be responsible Republican leaders and what remains of the Republican intellectuals are now leading the worse elements of America. Many of their constituents are as dangerous to democracy as any Middle Eastern extremist. Few in the media have the courage to use their air time to make Americans aware of this danger. That just does NOT compute! Try even a non sequitur. No one with even half a brain wants to hear a doctor running his mouth with a microphone in his hand while thousands of babies, children and desperate adults are all around him injured, dying, and suffering. Are YOU insane? !!!! It does not take a brain surgeon to figure that out. Make some F------ attempt to help! Wash out some children’s eyes; set some broken bones; bandage some cuts, stop some bleeding; work with one of the aid groups or stay the HELL home. We expect regular reporters to just talk, but we do NOT expect that of doctors.
Newt Gingrich Has Lost His Mind! -- Gone Mad!
On January 4, 2010, Newt Gingrich’s that “a group of people centered in the Justice department Department and the Attorney General whose law firms all gave pro-bono support to TERRORISM. They start every day with the presumption that the rights of terrorist are more important than the lives of Americans…. everything they’ve done is biased…”
That is just plain goofy!
When people gradually lose their mind, it is often difficult to tell when they have gone completely mad.
Trust me! His brain has gone south of the border yet he struggles to appear and to sound erudite, professional, and knowledgeable.
On Wednesday, January 6, 2010, David Gergen Said on CNN That He Agrees with Newt Gingrich’s Statement
On January 21, 1997, the House voted overwhelmingly (395 to 28) to reprimand House Speaker Newt Gingrich for ethics violations dating back to September 1994. The house ordered Gingrich to pay an unprecedented $300,000 penalty, the first time in the House’s 208-year history it had disciplined a speaker for ethical wrongdoing. Eighty-four ethics charges, most of which were leveled by House Democratic Whip David Bonior, were filed against Speaker Gingrich during his term, including claiming tax-exempt status for a college course run for political purposes. Eighty-three of the 84 allegations were dropped. He then lost his Republican Party support, caused havoc in their organization and was the target of Democratic attacks to get rid of him. He resigned, but unfortunately he continues to pop up and assert his crazy opinions -- and Republican leadership.

That is just goofy!
Gingrich himself should be tarred and feathered for his statement and have his citizenship revoked -- and sent to Gitmo -- his favorite place (along with Cheney).
It is more than unfortunate, however, that a recognized personality such as Gergen had already done damage to the intellect and understanding of the American public -- who do not know any better. I have been trying to decide if David Gergen is an honest man with integrity and humanity, but I am beginning to doubt it. I believe that he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing -- and that is deceptive and dangerous.

On September 8, 2009, I heard Candy Crowly on CNN say that values that President Obama talked about to the school children where Conservative Values. Clearly she did not intend to imply that they were not valued by MOST other groups, parents, and people! Nevertheless, why did she and other news media folk fall prey to such falsehoods. Republican and Conservative verbal values do NOT square with what they practice in their lives and their dealings with others. These are universals and generational values of all people who want to see their children succeed in life. If you understand that, the SAY IT!!!! Millions of people are listening to you and need to have their minds untwisted.

On November 10, 2009, I watched Diane Sawyer interview Dr. Richard Besser based on the fact that over 5,000 people die per year from food born illness. I listened to Dr. Besser tell me and hundreds of thousands of viewers NOT to wash their pre-washed salad greens because something in the kitchen might contaminate them... WHAT????!!!!!! That’s insane! Sawyer seemed surprised, but she apparently was too slow whitted to questions such an incredibly stupid statement. I can’t get over the harm that it might do.

What is wrong with the news media reporters?
Double Agent?
Did we kill innocent people while acting on information from a double agent? Perhaps we do not want to know. …or do we?
I totally support our CIA and I want to see them get stronger and add more people nevertheless I have been wondering for some time about their capability that was greatly constrained over the past few decades. I also wonder about whether there is endemic cultural naïveté.
According to Associated Press news reports, a former senior intelligence official says the double agent who killed seven CIA employees last week had provided information that led the CIA to kill a number of al-Qaida leaders.
The former official says Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi had provided high-quality intelligence that established his credibility with Jordanian and U.S. intelligence.
How was the intelligence evaluated and verified. Who did we kill? Who did we arrest? Who did we injure? It does not seem credible that any information that the double agent gave to the CIA could have been correct. Perhaps he led us to kill innocents or people on our own side. How will we ever know. We probably won't. Certainly the news media has not even considered asking this question.
President Obama and the Pope were both accosted by unwanted intruders. Both intruders came close enough to harm or kill the two leaders and many others. The news media compliantly reported to us that both intruders went through metal detectors... so not to worry. ARE YOU S_ITT_NG ME! Do you think we are stupid? Do you know how many other ways there are to harm or to kill someone other than a metal gun or metal knife? There are too many chemicals and materials to name that could do damage. Wake up! This is more serious than you have reported.

On Christmas day we learn of an attempted terrorist attack by a Nigerian. I cannot wait to hear the cop outs on this one.
According to a report on Yahoo News, "U.S. authorities told The Associated Press that the suspect came to the attention of intelligence officials in November when his father went to the U.S. embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, to express concerns about his son.
One government official said the father did not have any specific information that would put his son on the "no-fly list" or on the list for additional security checks at the airport.
Nor was the information sufficient to revoke his visa to visit the United States. His visa had been granted June 2008 and was valid through June 2010. Officials spoke on condition of anonymity because neither was authorized to speak to the media."
Where is the accountability?
We want accountability! Whose desk did this report land on? What is his or her name, position and background? What will be done about this FAILURE? What person or persons allowed him through security? Where are the videos? Why were not the chemicals detected? What is the training? How often is the retraining? Is there feedback training based on critical incidents and other lessons learned such as this? There are at least another two dozen questions that need answers RIGHT AWAY! Instead of correcting this thing at the source, they tighten security and are patting down grandmothers and little children traveling for the holidays as a big show. Give us the names and show us the faces of the genius(es) who order this. Was it an individual, a group think committee, the wise recommendation of a few staffers to a hierarchical manager? Our security was entirely in the hands of as few as two individuals in Nigeria and Amsterdam????!!!! And hundreds of people nearly died on Christmas because of botched decision making, lethargy, incompetence insufficient and ineffective neural activity of one or more people at U.S. embassy in Abuja, Nigeria. Are they political appointees, cronies… probably NOT brilliant security specialists as they should be. Are they constrained by typical multi-layers of bureaucracy, diplomacy and politics such as that which allowed 9-11 to happen? …and the space shuttle to explode in mid air killing the entire crew …and that which allowed a successful sneak attack on Pearl Harbor? WHY? HOW!!! WHO????

When you are asked by the media or the public about such a failure as this, you do NOT tell us that "the system worked" and try to misdirect us like we are children or idiots. We want the truth. We want a man or woman with more testosterone who gets mad about something like this and expresses it, so we know that something is going to be done and that people are going to be held accountable. We don't want excuses or white washes. Perhaps Napolitano should be removed or should resign. How could she NOT know this. We need better thinkers and people who are wired into global thoughts and feelings -- NOT political thinking.

Where is the news reporters’ intellect? Why haven’t they asked and investigated the important questions?
Not one that I have heard asks the hard questions and demand hard answers about the kidnapper sex offend Phillip Craig Garrido and the victim Jaycee Lee Dugard.
Who exactly is responsible in the Sheriff’s Department for investigating a complaint, going to the home where the victim and her two children were being held and the incompetence of investigators and the department. Which probation officers were responsible for Phillip Craig Garrido and never checked his home, back yard and looked for evidence of violation of parole. What did they do? Sit down and have tea with him? Why didn’t they also interview neighbors to back up their findings. Why did not the complaint about children living in the back yard trigger a full investigation of a child molester? Why did not the probation officers pick up on the complaint of children living in the back yard of a registered child molester. Is this an indication that our newscasters are not intellectually competent to report the facts that matter rather than just generalities and visuals.

Thank you for your 24 hour magnificent coverage of the Haiti earthquake disaster, but there is more to do after the news normalizes concerning Haiti
I watch CNN obsessively, but you have become mediocre. While self-advertising its huge viewership, it fails to realize that a growing number of people are getting sick and tired of droning coverage and a lack of aggressive world coverage from A to Z. They turn off your station and search even pay for foreign channels that have more world daily coverage and more global human interest stories. Get back to FULL world coverage. I learn more from Yahoo, Google and Wikipedia about current and breaking world news than than I do from you -- including the details of who, what, where, when and why. Also, while your newscaster are still saying “allegedly” and are afraid to give names and facts, these names and facts are already public all over the Internet and front page Yahoo.Com. Revise your business model. DO IT!!! Take a look at the world coverage and stories on cable French TV and BBC …but especially the French. You are cheating us and keeping us stupid about the world. You have become a personality cult of newscasters and cute stories. Get their asses out of the studio and into the field. We cannot become a better country and better citizens of the world until we understand the world. Yes, you have many high quality award winning stories and coverage of many top events, but that is NOT enough. Stop giving us mush-mouthed, and mealy-mouthed artificial excitement and theatrical performances by newscaster hour after hour about the same damn thing. Delve deeper. Get brighter, quick-whitted reporters. Give more substance and intelligence -- not simple blog questions to excite the crazies. Get on site. Stop showing stale footage over and over and over. We are sick of it. Take a stand for the good of humanity and justice. Stand on the side our heroes (like Obama) who are fighting for the people. Expose those who are holding back humanity, human rights, and the advancement of society. You know who I am talking about! The word begins with "Repub…". What happened to your VISION CNN? …or was it all about the money from the start. Excuse my stupidity. Of course it was! Nevertheless… Lead or get out of the way! I am glad to see that you got rid of that guy …what's his name? …oh …yeah, Lou Dobbs.

Many dedicated doctors and medical practitioners working with field techniques and little or no supplies and lack advanced medications, critical medical information, up-to-date specialist consults, or adequate technology.
By Western standards and even their own standards they are underpaid and over-burdened. Typical monthly pay is approximately $300 per month for a doctor in Eastern European areas such as Ukraine. If you are tempted to think that it is relatively a lot of money because of cost differences, you are wrong. Living costs in such areas are increasing for basics such as food, clothing, and housing, and other necessities. Most people in these areas dare not think of luxuries or even adequate transportation such as their own car to travel to and from multiple jobs, their own computer and connection, up-to-date medicines, or adequate medical care. Many are prohibited from getting a visa to visit Western countries for fear that too many of them will escape their dire circumstances and never return.
The doctors and other such public servants are proud people and represent a proud culture. Over seventy years of repression has taught them to be silent, afraid, or passive to their suffering, as such, we do not hear or read about them as we do about the needs in the continent of Africa and other developing countries.
Yet, in many areas in Eastern Europe, take for example Pridnestovie, also known as Transnistria, Trans-Dniester, and Transdniestria, most of the population is below the poverty line. Pridnestovie, a disputed area of Moldova, together with Moldova is the poorest area in Europe and is poorer than most of Sub-Saharan Africa, which is widely known as the poorest region in the world

Global Telemedicine Project
Telemedicine is the most cost-effective and efficient system to provide health care; and it offers the promise of helping to democratize and equalize the availability and the best possible healthcare to people worldwide. Telemedicine is today enthusiastically embraced with high expectations in both public and private sectors. It is seen as a new system that provides effective and flexible solution to intransigent health care problems as well as financially and logistically challenged health care delivery in the United States and other parts of the world. The excitement is generated by the enormous expansion of Information Technology into everyday life, communication, education, business, industry, commerce, entertainment, and health.
Healthcare is yet a small part of this Information Age that is referred to by some as the second Industrial Revolution. As with any revolution, many old ways are dying off and new ones are emerging. Information technology is revolutionizing the way the medical community interacts with each other and with patients though the use of networking and data communications. The value of a high-speed data communication network is that it brings people together in a way never before possible.
Telemedical consults can take place in any convenient location, including the home, clinics, doctors' offices, counseling centers, schools, community centers, senior centers, nursing homes/long-term care facilities, and support groups such as veteran's groups & services, women's/children's/men's support groups, church groups, and victim's centers. Services can include multidisciplinary conferences for challenging diagnoses, in-depth therapy, medication management, and regular follow-up care.
Other uses of telemedicine include transmitting and receiving data in a healthcare environment with compliance with standards/specifications and protocol for formatting the data in/from: robotic surgery on-site and over distance, differentiation and customization for healthcare specialties, teleconferencing, telemedical devices, medical imaging data processing, medical imaging storage and archiving, off-site viewing, medical monitoring and data reporting, tele-diagnosis, medical imaging communication, insurance/ claims processing, and other healthcare related transactions.
One can also make a difference before and after floods, mud slides, tsunamis, fires, earthquakes, volcanic eruption with ash and lava flows, poisonous gases, radiation, meteorites, avalanches, hurricanes, tornadoes, dust storms, sand storms, drought, landslides, plague, living on a violent planet, air-born, insect and animal born viruses and deadly microorganisms
Too many people feel helpless to do anything and so they do NOTHING. In spite of the efforts of hundreds of other charities and assistance organizations and volunteers, millions of people chose non-action and non-participation. The odds of a disaster of one type or another happening to or near each of us, our family and our close friends in our lifetime are likely ONE HUNDRED PERCENT certain. It can happen when you are at home, at work, in school, shopping, on the road, traveling, vacationing, visiting, on the way home, or hiding in a bunker. Nevertheless, that is NOT the primary reason that you should help. You are part of the human race. We ALL are living on this violent planet. You are part of the world family. There is always SOMETHING that YOU can do small or large. When you are injured, do not the cells of your body rise to the occasion, take action to heal your wounds and stop the pain, stop the bleeding, and stop the suffering? The GREATEST essence and purpose of life is to sustain itself. We too are all CELLS of the human race. It starts within you and is extended to all others on the planet. Consider yourself like a tiny electron. You are not too small to make a difference. Even the tiniest action you take will set forces into motion that will reverberate throughout the world for an eternity.
Like an infinite line of billions of tiny falling dominos. One tiny domino can affect billions. Each action you take has consequences around the world. You will not always see the affect you are creating, but it is inevitable nevertheless. Reach out and help. Extend the value and essence of your own life by helping to heal and save others and give them a chance for a better life.

This is one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the world. It's in Pakistan,
Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Iran, Niger, China,
Japan, Guatemala, India, Russia, Malaysia, Sir Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand,
Maldives, Somalia, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine,…
Thousands of people, men, women, children, families and grandparents are fleeing
for their lives. Thousands upon thousands are feared already dead. Several towns
have been completely flattened. Entire populations have vanished. Thousands of children
and families are crushed below collapsed buildings. These are not exaggerated numbers.
It's hard to for a person's mind to grasp the magnitude and know how to feel about so much
death and devastation. We feel so helpless to do anything. Thousand upon thousands of people
are waiting to be rescued. Most are without food, or shelter and are dyeing from the heat, cold,
and dehydration. Many are in desperate need of medical assistance and medication. Federal, state,
and local authorities are overwhelmed by the magnitude of the destruction and number of victims.
The power station outages are widespread and have caused blackouts in widespread towns and even in
adjoining states that were outside the disaster area. The roads are impassable. Crime, looting,
fires have flared up everywhere. Pets and wild animals are scarred, traumatized, and in the streets.
Hundreds of hospitals, nursing homes, shelters, public, government, and emergency facilities have been
destroyed or so badly damaged that they are out of service. Even the very old, the critically ill patients,
and those in emergency surgery can not be reached in time. Most of them will die before help arrives.
Does this sound familiar? Perhaps all too familiar. Natural disasters are happening increasingly around the
planet. We live on a violent planet and we are unprepared to deal with the magnitude of human suffering caused by natural disasters,
disease, conflicts, and wars.

Jennifer L. Nord, and Brendon Nystedt while at West Valley College in Saratoga, California as student
filmmakers. I re-cut and edited the film to produce the current video for my Humanities 432 class project and our class professor,
Neha Dave, at DeVry University in Fremont while completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Management and
Biomedical Engineering. Credits run at the end of the film with thanks for clips that I borrowed from other videos. Some permissions
are still pending. As you will notice, the film and this website is not for any commercial purpose nor profit. I have no ulterior motive or other agenda for this website. ...and I don't send out junk mail. It is my intent to bring attention and
action to our common world problems in my small way and I hope you will do the same.

It's an amazing story and a brief view of the book that I am writing -- “How Obama Did It From The Grass Roots Up.” I put
my life, my business, and my MBA graduate studies at Keller Graduate School of Management on hold and agreed to be re-located and drove
over 1821 miles from my home in California to Iowa -- one of the states that needed “Fellows” and “Organizers”
immediately for the campaign. I was trained in Des Moines Iowa before being assigned with my team to to work as an “ORGANIZER”
based in Waterloo Iowa. This was my chance to do something MORE to HELP get Barack Obama elected, to HELP “THEM”, and to
HELP America and the world get on the right track for the future. Here are a few photos from the campaign. I will post more of about
this experience, photos, videos, and the presidential campaign grass-roots stories here in updates. I documented the campaign
with hundreds of photos, notes, Barack Obama campaign memorabilia, videos, and stories. Check back. It's a major event in world HISTORY.
